Frequently Asked Questions

  •  Choosing self-pay for your child’s therapy offers a unique level of freedom and privacy. Insurance companies typically require a formal mental health diagnosis to authorize coverage, which then stays on a child’s permanent medical record from a very young age. By opting for self-pay, we can focus entirely on your child’s development and emotional well-being through a non-directive lens without the necessity of a clinical label. We are  happy to accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards as convenient forms of payment for these services.

  • Yes, for Individual Telehealth sessions for adults and teens, as well as Parent Consultation sessions, we have the ability to bill select insurance companies. Insurance coverage varies by provider and plan, so you are encouraged to inquire about your specific benefits during our initial consultation to see if we can move forward with your insurance.

  • To keep our focus on the therapeutic relationship, we utilize streamlined digital practice management tools. We use Ivy Pay for secure, HIPAA-compliant client transactions and maintain all clinical records through Sessions Health and Simple Practice. This ensures that your financial and clinical information is handled professionally and discreetly.

  • In the playroom, we believe children have an innate capacity for growth when provided with a safe, consistent environment. Unlike many other environments, this is a space where your child does not have to perform or meet specific goals to "succeed". Graduation from therapy is a natural integration of their growth rather than a checklist of completed tasks, allowing them the autonomy to heal at their own pace.

  • Session fees range from $125 to $160, depending on the specific service provided. Because we believe therapy should be accessible, we also offer a sliding scale for clients who may need financial flexibility. We will talk through all payment options, your specific needs, and potential insurance usage during your free initial consultation.

  • Connection is at the heart of everything we do, and we intentionally wrap support around the whole family. For children engaged in CCPT, sessions are for the child and the therapist only, we offer a complimentary 1-hour Parent Check-In for every 10 sessions we meet with your child. This dedicated, fee-free space allows us to collaborate, celebrate your child's progress, and discuss how to mirror that support at home.
